Anthony's Birth!
We have a new little acorn at Acorn Place! Anthony James was born in the wee hours of the morning on Sunday, May 18th. He weighed 8 lbs. 14 oz. (The little rascal didn't want to come out until 14 days past my due date!) We had a beautiful, gentle, joyous, and exhilarating homebirth (I could go on and on with the adjectives!) So we're settled in with our new baby and big sister Ayla is doing great! She's always sure to save some milk for Anthony when she nurses. She gives him plenty of hugs and kisses and always helps wash him in the bath. She only asks me to send him away once in a while :)
The Goddess Artemis dreams a prayer with woodland creatures for the protection of our ancient forests. Grieving the loss of her great grandmother tree, she holds a seedling promise of new growth next to her heart.
